Oakdale Theatre

Wallingford, CT

The Oakdale Theatre is the largest indoor theater in New England featuring 4,800 seats, luxury corporate suites, a 22,000 square foot antique wood domed lobby, and private function and party areas. Located on 35 acres in Wallingford, Connecticut, the Oakdale Theatre has been in operation for over 45 years. In 1997, Vladimir Shpitalnik collaborated with the theater's owners, Ben and Beau Segal and Bob Errato to re-design the interior of the new Oakdale Theatre. Featured here are space configuration panels Shpitalnik designed as part of this project. The 26 moveable panels are 47 feet high and 7 feet wide and can transform the full house to a 2,500-seat arrangement.
